When I was 16, I created a nonprofit called the Rainforest Challenge, an educational nonprofit that educated children and community members about the beauty, benefits and devastation of the world’s tropical rainforests.
The “challenge” we gave to each group we met was for them to either purchase an acre of rainforest (though either the Children’s Rainforest in Costa Rica, or a preservation program we found in Brazil) OR take the curriculum and give presentations in their community.
Below is the curriculum that I wrote in high school that allows other youth and community groups to give their own Rainforest Challenge projects.
